Recent Change of the Etiology of Drug Induced Anaphylaxis in a Korean Tertiary Care H ospital
Park Jung-Won

Abstract
Drug induced anaphylaxis is one of critical threat for patients¡¯ safety in general hospital, and how to mitigate the evitable onset of anaphylaxis is crucial factor in the patient safety management program. Recently, new drugs with superiority in efficacy have been poured in clinical fields and have possibility to cause drug adverse reactions. Furthermore, since 2006, regional pharmacovigilance center program has been initiated in Korea. These initiatives could make difference in the etiology of drug induced anaphylaxis. Previously we have reported the causes of drug induced anaphylaxis using the 2006-2013 adverse drug event reports from Severance Drug Safety Center, and other investigators also reported the causes of drug induced anaphylaxis based on the data from Korean Adverse Event Reporting System collected from 2008 to 2017. We compared the previously reported results with the 2019-2022 Severance Drug Safety Center data on drug induced anaphylaxis. These 2 data set from Severance Drug Safety were collected by spontaneous reporting system and retrospective review on electric medical recording system. We also discussed the underlying driving forces for making the differences on etiology of drug induced anaphylaxis in a Korean tertiary care general hospital.
